Last week’s acquisition by Teradyne of Mobile Industrial Robots (MIR) for €121 million net of cash plus €101 million if certain performance targets are met extending through 2020, added another successful M&A story to the cluster of Odense Robotics. The cluster has seen investments to the tune of 5 billion DKK (670 mill euro) – in the last 3 years.
The first big one was Universal Robots in late 2015 with a similar deal as MIR. Since then more than 25 robot and automation companies have attracted investments or been acquired. The biggest ones include Jorgensen Engineering and Cabinplant in 2016.
On September 12th the Odense Investor Summit – Robots meet Capital will be held for the 3rd time. Last year’s summit attracted more than 20 investment companies within robotics and the related verticals in drones and Health Tech. More than 100 investors participated in the event.
Do you want to see the newest in robotics technology? Are you an investor looking for investment possibilities or are you a company looking for funding – you should definitely participate in this year’s Odense Investor Summit – Robots meet Capital.
